Trust researchers honoured in Gairdner Awards
The Gairdner Foundation has honoured two Trust-funded researchers in its annual Canada Gairdner Awards.
The 2010 Canada Gairdner Global Health Award was made to Professor Nick White for his work showing that artemisinin is an effective treatment for malaria, and a 2010 Canada Gairdner International Award was made to Professor Peter J Ratcliffe for his work on the identification of molecular mechanisms of oxygen sensing in the cell.
Our congratulations to both and to the five other winners of this year’s awards!
