Last week, biochemist Nick Lane won the Royal Society Prize for Science Books for his book, Life Ascending: The Ten Great Inventions of Evolution.

As it happens, Lane came to Wellcome Collection a few weeks ago to chat about his research as part of our regular Packed Lunch series of free lunchtime talks. You can hear the whole thing on the Packed Lunch podcast and read an account of it over on the Wellcome Collection blog.
